The Texas maps section isn't very active so posting this in General Discussion. Mods please move if necessary.

I'm always interested in finding accurate topography maps for the areas I like to search. I was wondering if anyone has some favorite map sites they wouldn't mind sharing. I am finding the East Texas maps are not very easy to find with good detail. I'm guessing the densely wooded forests and constantly changing rivers and creeks weren't very conducive to the old way of collecting topography data. Not to mention the hostiles, snakes, and chiggers. When The railroads finally came through in the 1870's towns started appearing finally driving the Native Americans into Indian Territory "Oklahoma" and west. Most of the old camps and trails followed high ground. Thanks for any help.
