What did he lie about that is "drawing scrutiny"?

If they made a bad choice when to buy or they bought overpriced coins that is their own fault.
I thought the baby boomers were smart about that stuff.
The government cant save people from themselves and that's not their job.

This was an investment scam, pure and simple.

I read a similar story about that company recently, so yeah, I’d say it’s real. The article said that they were targeting conservatives and Fox viewers and using misleading information and high pressure sales tactics to drive up sales and rip people off.

Nationwide was doing the same type of thing a few years ago. They would sell you an oz of gold in a starter pack for $1150, then a salesman would call you and try to upsale another coin with a crazy high premium....double eagle or something.
My son and I both ordered the oz and when the salesman called we had to deal with him haha.
Not a big deal. You just say no thanks. It was worth it at the time and still is worth that $1150.
You just cant be stupid or naive.
