    Another Vintage Detector!

I really enjoy collecting vintage detectors so I just picked up a mint Compass Pro Magnum Relic 7 Detector for a great price (under 100.00) with an 8 inch coil and an extra unused 10" coil. I use all my detectors, even the new ones, depending on the situation. Does anyone have any information on this detector?
    Thanks!

    Re: Another Vintage Detector!

I've got 17 all mint and working and they often outperform modern machines on some sites.
Don't think I've seen the Pro Magnum. The Relic Magnum was followed by the Relic Magnum 7 automatic in the U.K. when they added the fully automatic re-tuning mode.
All the Magnums featured the Tri Planener coils which I found heavy. There was a twelve inch loop as well as the stock eight inch.
Many nice little features on the Compass machines such as the S.D.C.S. switch to cut off the audio when the machine is laid down and T.L.C. (tone level control) which adjusted the frequency to suit your hearing. Great if you have any form of hearing loss.
