I always thought this looked like a tempting place (even though it really doesn't go very far). The opening is about 5' high and the stonework is limestone.

Looks like an old railroad tunnel I checked out once. It allowed a small stream to go underneith.
There was a dated stone, don't remember the exact date, but was around the 1880's.

Train's still pass over top daily. Those were built to last.

I didnt find anything...too much rubble from years of flooding and such...that one you show...who knows.

May also be an old Mine Drain or Air hole
Have them around here. They go back a few Feet then the water
pours out like a water fall at the back.
