i need info on buying a decent fairly inexpensive metal detector

Does anyone know if there is a decent metal detector i can purchase for under $200? I'm still pretty much a novice, although I have done this on and off for a couple of years, I have used a real cheapie the whole time , so I' d like to get something a little better. I am in Berkeley Ca. if you happen to know of a place to look for it would be great! Thanks for whatever help you can offer. Peace.

You can get a Garrett TreasureAce 250 for $212.00 from KellyCo. The 150 is even cheaper. The 250 is a good machine for the money.

I would recommend the Fisher F-2 or the Tesoro Silver uMax. I certain that you would not be disapointed with either of those machines. They both are in the $200 range. The Tesoro has a lifetime guarantee, which is also a great feature
