I use two types of cheapises, and I am sick of them. New high caliber headphones will be my next purchase.

I use a set of Koss TD-80 headphones. Had to put an adapter on the plug to make it larger but the headphones are very soft and have volume controls on each ear. I really like them.

I too use the Rattlers. Like them alot because they only cover one ear. Allows me to hear snakes, (slitherly kind and two legged ones). I also have the cheapie Radio Shack wireless ones. I was kind of tentative when I bought the R. S. ones as many folks said there were very fragile. I've had them for a year and still no problems.

one more vote for ratphone's.detachable, replaceable cord a plus.opt for limiter switch and at least one volume control.

Depends on the machine for me. RATphones for the Explorer II but I like Gray Ghost for the Xterra 70. Some headphones seem to work better than others on certain machines. Note: I have only tried the Gray Ghost, RAT and Koss UR30s. There may be some headphones that work equally well on multiple machines. My problem is when I find something I like, I quit looking. I've been married to the same woman for 30 years (see what I mean?)
