    Value of hunting ghost towns??

I've read a few threads where people don't find much, if any, coins in ghost towns. Is there much of any value usually found? I've figured out where a Civil War period (built about 15 years before the war and shutdown after the war) town was and I'm wondering if will be worth my time. Its just fields now.
Relic hunting consists of a series of misadventures interspersed by occasional moments of glory.

Definitely worth your effort if like finding relics. I like ghost towning much
better than coinshooting in urban settings. Try it and get back on with what
you pull out of the ground. As far as coins I wouldn't expect to find many
unless you are the first on site. The more times you hit it your chances go up.
