    Austa, OR

Dianna and I went out to Austa today, the road going in didn't look so hot, so we hiked it....

Here is my better half showing HER "better half" while searching a foundation-

We found out the grass really IS greener...... over the septic tank; or in this case, outhouse hole-

Say hello to my little friend

Although the day was short on time (and finds) we did manage to find this old waterworks of some sort tucked away in the brush, perhaps a generator at one time?

Between Eugene and the coast on 126. Near where Whiteaker Creek dumps into the Siuslaw river.

    Nice snake! Great pics!
Just because it did not work does not mean it was not a good plan!

    Re: Austa, OR

Well, other than the waterworks, there are several foundations and the roads are still visible. Place is pretty well cleaned out as far as buildings go. We only had a couple hours to spend there.

Cool pics! But lose the snake or you may not get to see the better half of your better half much longer. One of my brothers live in Springfield. Detected his yard once in the 70's and got a few wheats and a rosie if memory serves me right. HH
