    Expanded metal

    Anyone know where i can get 1/8 opening expanded metal.

    nope! the smallest expanded, that is raised , was 1/4 inch.and i bought it from a sheet metal shop that was scrap in a corner with heavy dust on it.

    if your looking to get a very small open area you may want to look for raised mesh.

    If he's want to build a classifier just use hardware cloth, I used 1/4 & 1/8" HC and SS window screen to make mine.

    maybe some of the decorative stuff (light weight/flimsy) like a screen for keeping pets from scratching a screendoor. they sell these at most hardware stores might be what your wanting?? untill he comments on this we will never know.

    Sorry guys took so long, I was going to make a classifier for my gold cube with a spray bar that sits on top.

    I saw a demo of the gold cube at a GPAA gold show and they recommended 1/16" classification or less. I have used a rain gutter and spray bar system with screen on top and let the small concentrates run down the gutter into a sluice while scraping the larger stuff off the side of the screen into a tub. Just make sure you aren't planning on running the slurry directly into the Gold Cube because it will be hard to adjust the water flow to allow it to work properly.
