Detector(s) used
Various Minelabs(5000, 2100, X-Terra 705, Equinox 800, Gold Monster), Falcon MD20, Tesoro Sand Shark, Gold Bug Pro, Makro Gold Racer.
Primary Interest:
Prospecting
Silver coins--public beaches, parks, abandoned building sites, picnic areas, school yards, playgrounds, yards around older homes, parking lots around bars or factories. The key will be getting permission. If you offer when you're starting out to give everything you find to a home owner of an older home, you'll have fun and get some prime ground to practice your skills on. You won't get to keep anything, but you may get permission to detect a fantastic site that everyone else has been denied. I've done this and found some spectacular finds.

This is very important: know how to recover your finds so that you don't damage the person's yard--get a good, reliable pin-pointer and watch some videos on how to dig and recover a target with minimal disruption. In public areas where detecting is allowed, you'll get to keep everything you find. Know before you go--it saves you tons of headaches and grief.

All the best,

Lanny
