I'd like to introduce myself to the forum. Jeff here from Northern California in the Motherlode area. I am pretty new to prospecting and caught gold fever very quickly. Ive got myself a few decent spots with my best spot on permission on private property. I havent found a whole lot, but I just love being outdoors and appreciating what nature can show me. :hello:

I mostly sluice when I have the time, but like to do some panning on new spots even if I only have a few minutes to test a spot.

Hope you enjoy

J20 you jus' need a nice dam upstream to hold more water and 1 downstream to pump it back up. I've utilized rain runoff to dredge with for many weeks at a time, just takes a little work, and your gold is more than enough to mandate the ingenuity. Curtain keeps ponds pretty clean as you work you must see. 2nd pic is 100% rain water using 2 dams and curtain yet again. The reclaimanator rides again and so can you too. John

Thanks guys, where that bedrock is pictured is located in an area that does not allow any sort of digging while metal detecting. Unless it's purely on the surface, can't dig it up..

But they allow panning and sluicing but allow digging and classifying. :icon_scratch:

I havent been out in a few weeks, since I am working 6 days a week and have my 6 year old son on the weekends. Once it warms up a little I will be taking him out with me since it is all he can talk about. He is always out in the yard with my classifiers digging up stuff and bringing me shiny rocks saying he found a gold nugget for me.

that's very respectable considering its your 1st season and the limited digging time you had. Better yellow next season !
