I just watched Last nights show. was the second week I watched it,
and was the first one I enjoyed.
in spite of the attempts to add drama
by the one guy Brutzin' he needs to send his daughter to college,
and she's counting on him. :icon_scratch:
she's probably 3, and has no idea what life is yet, let alone college :BangHead:
but it appears it will get interesting.

First episode was just the BS of getting there, so pretty boring to me.

Must be pretty warm they were in T shirts for awhile.
Detectors appeard to be Fisher & Minelab X-terra to me

I liked the fact they actually panned some gold already, in the second episode,
even if just a few flakes.

Thanks Jeff, for your review!
T-shirts? Uh, when you hike uphill with a pack on your back and the vest-sweatshirt-flannel start to come off. grin

I haven't been able to catch it yet but I do plan on checking it out. I sure hope they keep the drama out of it and don't turn it into another Bearing Sea Gold. That show should be classed as an instructional video on how NOT to operate a dredging team!

So far it's interesting, little drama minus spazz king. The landscape is stunning. The vertical peaks and deep valleys are stuff out of movies & books. Looking forward to this and Prospectors. Ice Cold Gold can be watched on the Animal Planet website. Thanks for the link Jeff.

The two cowboys seem to have prospecting knowledge and understand how to find gold. The geologist seems sound, so give him a chance to iron the terrain out. Some of the pannin action is a little weak, as I am sure most of you are already aware of.

This show does have promise, but as I say for all shows on gold prospecting and mining: "Save the drama for your momma!"

anyone else wonder why they didn't just fly up by Chopper,
like they delivered their Equipment.

Then just keep the chopper up there for quick Jaunts here & there :laughing7:
Just send it back for a fill-Up & a few Sixers each Night :occasion14:

The more i hear about Greenland. The more I want to go there. As far as the drama goes. It will only be a matter of time before the diaper rash gets the best of one of them. Just like on BSG.

Jeff, the thought is good but helo's over there are $5K per hour for people, $7500 an hour for sling hauling!
Not to mention we can only use the chopper(s) when they are not booked ahead by the big mining companies.

First Read that as Battlestar Galactica, then I realized you meant Bearing Sea Gold LOL. (Although the line could work for both!)

I must have missed the part where they went shopping and the Feldmans were worried about bathing more then anything else. Greenland is loaded with riches and I would care less about taking a shower if I had any opportunity to go and mine there. Mining out in the middle of nowhere is only about having the necessities. I would eat worms and boil dirty water if I knew how rich I could be.
New episode on tonight. Let's see what happens next. . . .

Next week looks interesting at least with the sound of an avalanche.

Seemed to me from the preview, the avalanche, must have been
going a different direction from them., But perhaps it will give them some new rocks
to look at.

Can't help myself but I keep thinking, they should bring "what the Frick" in
with all his dozers etc. to dig some
"Glory Holes" :laughing7: Or "Boom Baby" To detect the mother load :tongue3:

Anyway the show was a little uneventful in my eyes,
looks like next week they give up on gold already :(
so may be a couple weeks before My interest will be back.

I wanna see some Fist Size Nuggets

While last nights show did showcase the reality of prospecting, still would have been nice to have seen some color.
But that's why its called prospecting instead of mining. :tongue3:
