Some of Today's Gold

Running the dredge with bare mats today.
Decent gold but a lot of work. Moving, testing, moving, testing...
GREAT weather. Sunny and 80 degrees. Awesome.
Took this pic and LOVE the shapes and formations of the gold.
Sample from some of the cons.

I'd be totally thrilled to see results like that! Can't wait to get my sluice done! River is down here and yesterday I was able to get a sample from a spot I've watched for months. Found four flakes in 1/2 a shovel. Probably 30-35 five gallon buckets already available and that much still under water. I gotta get to right quick!
Nice Finds:occasion14:

Thanks Jeff, We're heading out tomorrow as well.
I'll try and get some more pics.
The gold is really good looking in the areas we are hitting.

Nice color. We have some gold here in eastern NC. Its mostly in the red clay. Very messy process recovering it, but it can be worth it.

I too have run into red clay in the higher mountains here. My hat's off to you if you're panning that. It NEVER clears up. Waiting for my sluice to get finished up before I' ll try to get involved with clay again. GL & HH

We were testing our new "home made" 5" dredge.
That was from about an hour's run.
Still haven't hit any "hot spots" but I'll take anything right now.
Just good to be in the water again.

Here's one more pic from last week.
Great shapes.
