The series, centering on gold miners George Wright and Scott Lomu, will have its season-two premiere at 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, Aug. 11.
The pair return to face Ghana's notorious rainy season, armed militia, road blocks and treacherous jungle as they attempt to mine enough gold to pay off their debts and provide a future for their families and for the widow and family of Wally Macias, their former mining partner who died before realizing their dreams of striking it rich.

Goodyguy---Did you notice when the guys had the raw gold they were using the river to travel, sneaking through jungles, back alleys, dark places, ect in effort to kept from being robbed? THEN, after converting the gold to CASH, stuffed it in a back pack and walked through the middle of town like tourists without a care in the world? Come on now? Who's gonna buy that?? Scripted up the gazzo.

How can it be season final after 4 shows and just getting started? I believe the show is over due to the one guy going home and the other getting hurt for being stupid. Not that I care as its a joke watching these two scamming idiots.Even more amazing is they got the network to buy into their crap..

Personally I think it being a Final is either all a big lie by the Producers to increase
viewership by saying about a Militia attack .

or they just gave up.

Odd though this whole season was produced Before they even started Airing.
If they knew they didn't have a full season, Why even air it ?

Could it actually be ratings are so Bad, they just pulled it ?
or going on Hiatus for a month or 2 to air other experimental shows ?

or maybe this Dave guy got arrested for giving them land he didn't own, Or had to return the trommel already :tongue3:

If they just end it with no proof of a Militia attack & just say so, it will be obvious they are pretending

I'm beginning to think the whole show was about digging a swimming pool for that ""partner"".

Not gonna lie, as pathetic as this show and these guy were, it was a pretty intense episode. I hope they don't try for a season 3 though. They make all miners/prospectors look bad especially to the enviro-freaks

Ratings were bad the last few weeks.

It did get a ratings bump last Sunday for some reason.

Gold Rush has disappeared from the schedule also.

I wonder if the whole Idea of Gold shows are gone from Flooding the TV with
too many different shows by Copycats.

Or if my DVR Schedule is just not accurate anymore

Here is the 8 minute Producers Take on

Jungle gold is really a joke but I keep watching because somehow the fails are entertaining. When they get to a critical point where they absolutely have to accomplish something or they go under, you can count on two things:
1) they will fail
2) they will somehow, keep going

I've watched a few episodes of the show, and last night I saw both
new shows. As has been typical, it took me 4 antacids to get through
it. Not because of all the drama, but wondering how they got away
with labeling it as a "gold" show.

Both those guys from Utah are good at selling all the drama and suspense,
but it seems they can't do a thing on their own, and hire others to run the
whole operation for them. Can't even recall ever seeing either one with a pan
in their hand.

Once knew a real nice fellow that loved to go out and pan, but always
came home empty handed. The reality was, he couldn't find gold on his
own if you shoved a 4 oz. nugget up his keester and an MD20 probe
down his throat. These two chaps must somehow be related.

They were set-up all right, but I don't think it was the "Gov't" that
did it. Rather, another miner around there heard about them finding
good color there, so they arranged the hit on the neighboring mine
and then dropped a dime
zipper.gif
on the Utah boys, who were given all the
blame.

Suddenly, that ground was available again, and my guess it was
re-claimed, and mined in short order.

I feel sorry for the father in law that supposedly loaned money to the looser son in law and his hapless friend and now has no chance at pay back. Unless Discovery pays him.

Dave also turned out not to be the rich gold mogul that he was portrayed to be but only another hustler just trying to get by.

keitha43---Thanks or the links. Very informative to say the least. The comments in lower link paints a very different picture of the situation than the news reports. Who your gonna believe?

Again, thanks for the links. I encourage everyone to read the lower comments. They will screw with your mind.
