Prospecting in Clark County Nevada - Anyone doing it?

I live in Henderson, Nevada a suburb of Las Vegas. There are many abandon Mines and Towns, within an hours drive. Has anyone worked these areas? Any advice or other input will be appreciated.

Learn to dry pan. there are many places around the valley that are great to go to. On your side of the world head out to Nelson's landing I made a lot of gold out there
