Looks like the toon pic may be copywrited to this link (or they took it off the web from someone else):

Haven't gotten out at all this year. Been busy setting my Mom up in her new place a couple doors down from me. But the fever is building. I'll be heading out this pm or tomorrow. Hopefully both!

Symbol for the shirts crossed pick and shovel inset in a pan. Name- mutha lode weekend just some ideas. Sounds like quite a shindig developing. I am planning on attending the gold show on sat morning and then heading the rest of the way after (I'm coming from Nv. ) to setup camp and get a lay of the land. Prospect sun. When is everyone else planning on going to the show?

Black shirt, Gold Lettering. Symbol, Crossed Pick- Shovel- Pan. With date in the pan. Name "First Annual California Prospectors Rendezvous". I don't know if we can incude the name Treasurenet. Also at this point any talking of " funds" must be done Via p.m. I don't wanna hear it from the Mods. I am comprizing the atendee list and will keep everyone on it in the loop via P.M. Several of you are offering to help out and it is awesome I will be in touch. I only got one day off this week I didn't even check My email yesterday.

Went out to Folsom lake today, stopped at Skunk Hollow on the Salmon Falls road. I thought people interested in the CA TNet weekend might like a taste of some Folsom lake gold (and a thread bump in case it got lost). Found a crevice that had been worked over, but whoever worked it took the easy stuff and missed a big pocket right next door. I only had about an hour of daylight left, but managed to fill one pan and got some decent sized flakes out of it. Can't wait to get back next weekend with my big pry bar and clean it out properly.

I frequent the bridge area and upstream often as I live close by. Watch out using pry bar near the bridge as rangers do show up there at times. On the books the area from the bridge 2 miles upstream is hands and pans only. Not many people follow the rules thou.

Well, fellas I actually found a spot right in Lotus/Coloma.......Free with Bathrooms and BBQs....I know the owner and she said we are more than welcome....So if you guys wanna camp out near the dig spot, and close to Placerville this is it...BONUS...it is in/on an old Hydraulic Mine....and has a creek running through it that we will be allowed to pan in. I would like to keep it to panning and poking around as I don't think the owner realizes quite what we are capable of I like Brasseagles spot. yet this one is closer to where we want to set up the common dig. Let me know what you guys think
