Hello everyone!

I am new to prospecting and have been following this site for awhile. Currently I have a Angus McKirk recon sluice which I am using as a recirculating sluice and plan on using a Blue bowl when I am ready to run the -30 cons. My material is from Colorado.

I classify everything from 8 to +100 and I am finding the gold in the material from +30 to -100. I have read that silver was found in the area that i got my material from and I am wondering what raw silver looks like. What color or what does it look like?

Thanks

It looks like fouledup has postes, it can also look like thin silver wires, some big some small, or if in a creek, like around Brady, Texas it can be a small or big flat rock, that when scraped with a knife, shines bright silver. The black is tarnish/oxidation...

Thanks for the reply. So I can assume that it can be black from tarnish/oxidation like gold can be?
