A little over a month away from traveling to the beautiful U.P. of Michigan! Need some help from the awesome guys who know what's what.

Now, these are the Canyon Falls near Alberta, U.P., Michigan.
To me they look volcanic and there are definitely some good looking cracks and such. It's in Marquette county where the only gold mines in the states history have been located.

Don't be shy, Please tell me your thoughts and if you can Identify the rocks I'd appreciate that too.:hello2:

It does look like limestone. Think it was formed from ocean sediment and debri. Good thing is that in the cracks it can catch gold so I wonder what hills the water comes from?
