Hey guys,
It's the new guy again.
As I went on panning through the paydirt I got on ebay I came across these minerals, rocks or something else.
Can someone help me here?
The brow small rock has like glitter on it, and some of it seems to appear in a yellow shiny colors.
The others have this kind of glassy silvery shades. They actually lairs of lairs of small glass pages.

Thanks,
Roie

glassy layers would indicate Mica one of the softest minerals, the other it's hard to tell, someone better at this might know, crush it up and pan it out ;)

The shiny stuff is quartz with maybe, maybe a bit of pyrite. The rock looks like a piece of granite. The greenish rock I have no idea. But, we could be more sure if we knew at least what state or country you are in.

I agree, the grey stuff looks like Mica, I have that stuff all over my yard. We always pick it up and peel into little sheets.:laughing7: Or pages like the OP said. Actually I think they may even be called mica books.:dontknow: Or I've heard people call them that.

OK. The paydirt came from some part of the Smokies. I live in Israel and bought the dirt on ebay.
by the way I spent 2 summers in Texas. Had a blast!
