It looks like the same nugs I saw a few weeks ago. If so they were found with a metal detector.

I know the guy who took that picture and the gold came from a placer claim in Arizona 2 years ago. If I remember correctly, the dig site is in a deep remote desert wash near the base of a steep drop into a plunge pool. Over a dozen yards of sand and over-burden had to be removed to get down to bedrock......Then the gold started coming out by the pound.
