Well, I made my 1st find of this new year and it came in the mail today!

Thanks to Terry for having this fun diversion for those of us who are wintered in.

I based my guess of the weight of the dime 2.268 g +/- and was WAY off! Gold is heavy!

I tried to kind of do the same thing. Looking at the dime size as about a 1/10 ounce. Then guessing from there with the quartz. I forget what I even came up with now. All I know is that I was way off. Probably good if I was buying that way! Bad selling it that way though!
