I wasn't going to make a post but after doing some cleaning I just had to.
I found these two pieces about two feet away from each other not to long ago.
The smaller one will stay the way it came after a little wash with water.
The bigger one has had some attention from acid.
Claydiggins and my claim partners know more of the story.
Not gonna share that here . But I know several members on a relatively personal level that will want to see these.

Found with my GB pro

NICE, atta boy. I have cleaned many such specimens, excited low level acids are effective. Buy a yard sale crockpot, one with a high low switch, and excite murtatic, turns to sulphuric acid, will do wonders. Nitric if available. Full potency hydrogen peroxide is effective, hard to find. Hydraflouric is deadly and unless proper breathing and saftery equip, and protocol is followed, can kill you. Awesome pieces, awesome work, keep it up. PS I am not a chemist, or and expert other than personal experience, am barely qualified to comment. Make sure you research these chemical indepentantly

just used muriatic. I don't plan on ever getting HFL.
The crock pot is a brilliant Idea. There was no continuity across the piece though I could see gold the whole way through three sides. I just wanted to highlight it more.
The waterpic worked great. I just left it in over night, neutralze, rinse scrub acid again repeat. I didn't want to lose any gold off of it. of course I did but, just a few little specks. One little chip that is actually it's own cool little piece now. If I got continuity I would have left it in for a week.

Good to hear from you Oak. I plan on having a booth at the Sonora show this year are you gonna be there?

I don't know, have not been mining at all, family health issues. I would hope to get up that way. Very nice work. If you know someone in the medical industry, vet, dentist , a x ray wil reveal all your specimen secrets.

Sorry to hear that..I REALLY hope you didn't drop your contract...???

I was reading up on what to use read about Alibrite couldn't find it. I figured Muriatic would do the trick.

I actually go to a local small town dentist...HMMMMM I will be hitting him up.

When is the next time your heading to your claim? I was out checking out the area a while back. I think some stuff opened up.

I need to be heading up there asap, I really wanted to get an idea of the high flow this year on the creek but I have no idea when I will actually get to. My to do list around the house has grown so much that it could very well be another couple months for me unfortunately. When I do end up getting up there i'll let you know though.
