So I would just like to express how unappreciative I am of these Mining Activist and Mining Districts Frauds.. From AMRA to MMAC.. Years and years these self proclaimed Leaders of the small scale mining have literally misrepresented and milked the recreational and small scale community dry.. They have managed to spread ignorance and wedged a clear divide in the community.. We have mining districts that overlap.. We have competing Mining Districts and each calling the other an imitator.. We have Orgs that compete for Legal funds. Funny enough here in Cali a lot of these groups and orgs and run by just a handful of deluded individuals . The incestuous nature of Cali Mining Rights is unsettling.. Sometimes as many as 4 different groups started by the same individuals.. Donations hold true for all. Lack of educating is another thing that holds true for all.. they will most certainly scream education under the guise of "INFORMING" you.. Other then that you will find differences in their agendas and politics. But all in all they all are a disease to the mining community. Not just recreational miners or the small scale mining community but the mining community as a whole... gentlemen I encourage all of you to stop putting faith and resources in individuals and groups who have failed year after year those who have tore the mining community into factions..

THE BEST THING YOU CAN DO FOR THE MINING COMMUNITY IS EDUCATE YOURSELF.. KNOW ABOUT MINING KNOW THE LANDS KNOW THE LAWS DONT BE DEPENDANT ON SOMEONE TELLING YOU THAT YOUR RIGHTS ARE BEING TREAD UPON. Judge for yourself.. These groups need an enemy and they create them by using what you don't know or understand.
Just beware of the men who tell you they got your best interests in mind.. Judge them not by their rhetoric but instead their years and years and years as FAILURES...

....

How exactly have they failed? I am by no means a seasoned prospector and have often wondered d what they bring to the table other than paying for access to a claim or give away raffles. I'm not doubting your position but more asking to be informed by you please.

As a collective they have all failed in their mission statement and more importantly they have failed the community. There are many orgs and a few different mining districts "makers" here in Cali.. Their collective failure is that they all have there very own agenda and politics and interpretations on Mining rights. And ultimately they bring confusion and conflict to the very community they claim to be protecting at the sole expense of the mining community..

These groups are only allowed at the table when someone invites them. And they absolutely have no more authority or pull or whatever then any other one person. If one were to educate themselves and assert themselves responsibly I doubt groups like AMRA would even be a thing.

That there is what is called "opinion"

How about some solid math. Some statistics. Or how about a bill, legislation that was created directly because of the existence of a rights group.
A bill that was created as pushback against mining groups.

Do not include the legislation that is enacted by environmental groups and special interests. to hinder industry of every sort. That these groups organize against because that is in their mission statement.

Please do explain how there can be so many working mines in the U.S. how many small permitted ops there are in California even.

Please do explain how it is these groups are making it harder and can you reference it with documents?

Is there a law that says "because of mining groups we the state of (blank) now declare all mining generally more difficult than before and less accessible to all"

Make sure to include evidence across the industry to include other metals and non- metals mining and mineral claims.

Unfortunately you are looking at this issue with personalized anger goggles.

Regulation and labor costs and general political climate coupled with market forces drive mining.

The U.S has only 8% of world demand. The majority of large gold mining happens a lot closer to the main demand. People there are also a lot less regulated and WAY more corrupt than in the U.S.

Pretty much more of everything is being mined these days. Gold is down in the U.S. from its peak in 1998....still dredging in 1998 in California.
The drop in production is mainly for North America and Austrailia. More litigious Nations..more laws more hinderence.

However production in certain regions is up. And world wide it is up.

Getting educated is a really, really good idea.

AMRA, PLP, MMAC, District hoppers....their negative impact on "mining in general" is not even measurable.

Are they wrong about stuff sometimes? Yep.

Are their member rolls populated by people who don't know as much as they should about mining laws and land issues, regulations etc. ? Yep.

Harming mining in general ? The reason that laws are created to make it really difficult for the little guy?

Not a shred of proof, evidence, statistical data exists that can back that "opinion"

The U.S. has a larger share of production today than it did in the past.

surface mining is everywhere, mining isn't just about gold.. anything you see on public lands falls under the same law regardless of what is being mined

It is to bad that we aren't leading mining like we should be.

However the state of mining and prospecting in the United States is not where it is in negative respects because of small rights groups.

There is not a single tangible example.

Could they do more? Sure.

But, so could Victor Marshall.

Not with post like these though.
