That slate is such a pain in the ass. But if its giving nice stuff like that, makes it worth effort. Nice gold, looks well travled any idea of source? I thought the stuff from your claim was more course? Maybe im thinking of something else

Well, it gets coarse, about as coarse as coarse can get...

I honestly don't think it traveled far.

There are numerous stringers and seams...mineral pockets.

Working bedrock that the old timers roughed up, below their bench diggins..that was most likely a decomposed contact.

Found punch plate with inch holes in it.

I believe gold ends up in the slate and gets shaped and pressed.

Some stuff a long time ago. Some stuff that was spilled when the area was worked.

Because the source is right there pretty I've got lots of cool shaped pieces.

Nice chunks Jarrod:headbang: Looks like that lower area could be holding it pretty good! Gnarly spot of slate. Love when it pays but hate when it cuts n skunks. Bet it's a jungle down there by now. Trying to make my way over soon man..
