I prefer to keep my gold in my backyard stream widely distributed in small amounts amongst the iron oxides sometimes even inside rocks, sulfides, and tellurides! Ain't nobody gonna get "me gold!" Muuuuuhahahahaha!

I don't really know what I'd do with it. The one thing I know that I would definitely NOT do is put it in a bank safety deposit box. No-Freaking-way, gold is just too easy to liquidate as commodity.

Speaking of liquid, I heard of a guy that keeps a bit of gold as a chloride. Auric chloride is a liquid. If you don't know how to separate the two elements it would be essentially worthless. Even if you know he had it you might not figure out that it ain't sloe gin.

That's why you have to wrap the plastic coffee can in aluminum foil to block the gold from the detector signals.
