Some close friends have gone and said it was well ran and good time. Housing clean and comfortable and food quite good. If going for the gold, they said your time is best spent highbanking and sluicing. Detector mainly for tailing piles. Fishing quite good as well depending on the week. If you want to maximize your experience, plan to rent a quad. As good or better than (now defunct) GPAA Cripple River camp.

This is how I heard it; GPAA did a "re-organization" several years ago which included selling the Outdoor Channel and Tom passing down the GPAA/LDMA to his stepson. Most of the GPAA/LDMA assets stayed intact with the exception of Cripple River Camp which Tom pulled from the GPAA, shut down and I assume kept for himself & family. May have something to do with his moving up there full time. Much of the Cripple River stuff was sold to the AKAU operation.
