Who's on First?

OK folks,
Got my trusty pan and am ready to go.
Found a nice stream that looks good. Water is down from spring runoffs.
Scoop some sand and find some color.
Then what? Suction dredge and run it through the sluice first and then the wheel,
or the wheel then the sluice?
Anyone use a spinning wheel here?
They look good. Haven't figured out the bowl thing yet.

Re: Who's on First?

Dredge-classify for wheel-anything bigger than a 1/4" goes in a sluice box and the quarter minus in the wheel. Adjust the wheel to capture all the black sands--then raise the angle to get the gold from the black sands. You are now classifying not only for size--then specific gravity and reclaimation. Rock on-Tons a au 2 u 2 -John

After the wheel, then it's down to the 30, 50 and 100 minus in the Blue Bowl.
