Calling all experts!!!!!

I have done this before on a desktop but can't figure it out on an ipad (air). I have a pdf of an old map and would like to overlay it on google earth or maps. I have google earth app and maps on my ipad but cannot find an import option. I do have the pdf stored in dropbox but can't seem to make it happen. :BangHead:

Thanks in advance!!!

I don't believe it can be done on the mobile version. I've tried to do the same thing.

Hi, actually it is pretty simple. You need an App called MapTiler - there you upload your pdf and create .mbtiles file. Then, you download their mobile app from the Appstore, link it with your dropbox account, upload your .mbtiles file there and you've got it. Then, you will see your position on the historical map on your iPad, even without internet connection. I am using that quite often when going hiking abroad to avoid charges for data, it works simply great. Check this link:
iPad / iPhone custom maps ? MapTiler

plus, here is a tutorial, how to process your map:

Hope it works for you
