Hi, I'm very new to rock hunting and collecting and I am waiting for my rock identification book, but am getting antsy trying to figure out what this is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. rock.jpg

For the white rock, looks a lot like Gypsum. Should be super soft (scratch with fingernail) and light weight.

i found two bags that say..Peruvian opal..and aqua...in a big open field where a jewelry convention was swamped by wind and rain..they cleaned up what they could but said if the locals found anything they could keep it...a few friends of mine found gold silver and diamonds..and so far i found a few yards of Stirling silver thread..and cut amber..plus these bags..i'll post when i have a few pics IMG_20201228_065153.jpg IMG_20201228_064957.jpg

WOW! Thats incredible! It looks like one of those Native American grinding stones... or hammer stone... I forget. But that's probably extremely old if the sediment around it was that thick. I would take it to a specialist to learn more about it. Very cool!

Hi

Number 4 seems like chromite, number 9 seems like magnetize, and number 10 looks like serpentine.

The rest looks like sandstone or schist. Number 11 seems Opal or Agate.
