First of all, nice name;D. Second, I could be wrong, but to me it looks sorta like an Opal. I would look up some picture on google of opals and see if you can find anything similar!

Thanks l337, Gabbro is where I was leaning, but then I read that Gabbro usually has an olive color to it. I found a 1966 geological survey of my county, and according to it my area should be a Diorite/Granite mix, although there was an area of Gabbro right down the road. Diabase looks really close too.

Found this piece in an old barn on an old plantation in Mississippi, Found it with my metal detector, I had the trash eliminator setting all the way up
and usually will not pick up anything that's not precious metals. looks like silver Mayber, im shooting in the dark, Its heavy for its size and I believe completely metacllic throughout other than what has accumulated on the out side. no sign of corrosion on the spot where you can see the silver shiny material. thanks for the help. My falcon md20 really liked the piece and so I broke it open thinking it would just be Quartz inside but I was wrong. The yellow does not crumble like sulfides it's like a dense clay any ideas as to what it is? its dense and supper heavy. Was easily found about 4 feet deep. Magnet does stick to it. Platinum? I wish! I feel like JOE DIRT carrying this thing around... hopefully its not toxic! haha! Any advice would be nice.
