Some type of quarts not sure but it's the size of my hand and weighs a Ton and def has gold covering most of rock making it feel very dense. My qes is could this be a form of mossy gold??? I got this and a bunch like it that all seem to be covered in a layer of talc and gold I'm kinda blown away and would love some info. It came from way up in north Scottsdale Arizona in A dry wash. it was bedrock looking stuff.

without actually Holding it, From your Description,

But I hope I'm wrong .

Good luck !

Don't think it's pyrite almost spongy but also does not shatter just leaves indents. Dusted actually said its a type of shist with high mineralsation sedimentary rock. I'm bringing it to a&b prospecting tm and see what they got to say. Also here is another one I got from same place way smaller but still very heavy for size and does not shatter break just indents and makes smudge like marks.

Cool ! Keep us updated. The spongy comment is Odd.

as you know The fact it doesn't shatter & weight are good signs.

around here gold is a rarity, but everything "dusted" with gold is Pyrite.
this is why my mind went there

Crushed and panned a small chunk of it used magnate to get all the junky stuff out and looks like some good cons. One pic is wet and other is dry. What do you think

there has been gold located in the seven springs area...

It was definitely in that direction it was off of happy Valley Road in a dry wash next to a clients house. And the owner thinks its so funny that I'm down there digging around for gold because he is a multi millionaire and I told him if I hit the mother load I would give him some but he laughed and said nah whatever u find is yours hahh. So it's a really good situation hahah for me haha

Any tricks to make more fine or make sure everything is separated out. You da man dusted

ya i use Rere Earth Magnets to clean out the Iron from magnatite and Hematite.. bake it dry clean out the iron and bottle it save till you have a couple o oz's then melt into bars or head to a Reputibal (been in business a long time ) jeweler and have it bought or assayed (mine does both)..cash in hand head to store for new tools and make more! hehe!!!

After crushing the whole rock and panning here are some of the bigger pieces that came out.

That is funny in a way! He doesn't seem to care now but I wonder how he will feel when you have dug such a large hole while retrieving the Gold, that it risks the collapse of his' home??!! He might want to move the home now before you get too crazy with the digging!:dontknow:LOL!!
