Not sure possibly garnets.??

Hello I found this rock in Lucerne valley California it was about the size of a softball and I decided to break it open it’s very pretty has a firey inside and some areas are lighter in color and some darker these pics are a few fragments...I thought garnets and I also found a new mineral called fluorcalciomicrolite which is very similar but not in this area at all...any insite would be helpful..thank u...

Yes, they are garnets are and very nice ones. They may be grossular garnets. There are quite a few of that kind in California.

Most likely, they come in several different forms. Yours could be spessartite, a manganese aluminium garnet. Here is an example of some gem quality almandite variety I found in Northern Tanzania back in 1984. tres27.jpg

The crystals look cubical which would indicate not garnet at all, more likely flourite. If indeed it is garnet it is not gem quality so would have value only as a specimen. A hardness test will help ID it.

Garnets, common mineral. They are used as gemstones but are not very expensive. Some varieties of garnets can fetch a good price, but it is not what you have. That is not gem grade, but that does not mean that there aren't any around where you found that specimen.
