Gold rock

Hi all:
I Have many kinds of stones that I collected them , I heated them but no gold . I have bad knowledge about the features of a stone that contains gold
I would like to ask about the properties of stones or rocks that contain gold ?
What are their colours? What the colour of the flame?What the easiest way to determine wether there is a gold or not

Imagine in thousends of years ago there was no developed equipments as these days .People got gold from rock sand by some ways I need one of these ways to try.

That is how they have done it for centuries. Crush up the rock and pan out the flakes. The pans have changed over the years, but the method was always the same. Here is how the Ancient Egyptians did it:
