Now, the word "vaccine" comes from the Latin word vacca, which means "cow". It's a reference to cowpox, which was used to prevent smallpox by introducing a less lethal but similarly shaped virus to make antibodies that fight off the more severe virus.
The words "mRNA gene therapy" comes from Moderna. The moderna shot does not cause a body to grow antibodies. Instead, the moderna "vaccine" tricks your RNA into making a foreign protein which fights off the virus.
Moderna's use of the word vaccine is akin to calling Budwiser beer. It's got rice in it for crying out loud, that ain't "beer".
