Requst for Thread Reinstatement....

I would like to request that the following pictures be replaced in the thread;

http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/355763-does-coral-beep-yes-when-its-full-coins.html

as these have been removed / changed to un-viewable "attachments"?

Although the odd one may have been "off topic" the majority were showing the original coins, other finds such as musket and cannon shot as well as cannons and other shipwreck items.
I do not see how these could have been deemed offensive?

I do not remember the content of the pictures made by others, but do recall most added to the thread in a positive helpful way.

In my opinion, the removal of the pictures make the flow of the thread un-workable.

Also, as reference for future posts, perhaps the reason they were removed would be beneficial to know?

I would suspect it's a technology issue and not that they were removed. It just seems the links were all broken to where the images are actually stored.

I thought that, but I saw a "last edited by XXXXX at...." and it was a Mod that removed the coin pictures.

Pictures were not themselves removed. We have no way of replacing the pictures themselves.

As I explained RR edited was done in August of 2013 so that isn't what caused the issue. We don't know what caused the pictures to fail, just know they felled sometime in late August of THIS year (2014)

Mod did not edit pictures, we can remove pictures not edit pictures.

RR edited was 14 months ago, pictures disappeared 2 months ago based on pictures till viewable compared to pictures not viewable..

There is no physical way for us to restore the pictures.

I agree River Rat would not have removed Legit Pictures.

She may have edited Content if something was against Forum Rules. but even
if she removed one pic, The rest of the threads Pictures would still be intact.

Or are (were) they saved on a Picture Hosting site ?

I don't think it matters so much since everyone's pics disappeared from the thread.

If you go into edit mode by accident and do nothing but exit back out it will still show post as edited.

click GO ADVANCED
then MANAGE ATTACHMETS
then upload from pictures file on my computer
then INSERT INLINE

& all the others you mentioned would also need to say

yes, post #1 is the only one that showed its been edited (by RR) all the other have just "changed" to "attachments" which are now un-viewable.
(except one recent post, removed (rightly so) by TN as it had profanity in it)

So perhaps a bug?

Must have been a software bug, I can not find any other issues to cause it.

If the images hosted on TNet were moved the links would have to all be updated. If you can find where they are on the server the images could be moved back which would be easier than updating all the links.

We did not delete or move any images, that is the problem.
