My malware scan was clean so that was my main concern, but yeah the new formatting leaves something to be desired, very jumbled

Yeah... I noticed that too.

Here is a email from the 23rd before they changed the emails. The body is nicely formatted.

Outstanding find and piece of early Americana, congrats on the banner find!

Here is what they look like now. There are no line breaks in the email body and its all just run together! They look horrible now... from the sender name, to the link redirects, to the format of the email body text!

Hopefully its fixable, I presume they want this new traffic analyzer service.
Might well be very discouraging especially to people just signing up, people are getting pretty savvy and tend to be very suspicious of redirections, especially when their software warns them of a scam.
I almost always heed the warnings, and some phishing sites are blocked completely. But since this isn't a virus/malware/phishing issue my actual AV was silent, it is my browser itself giving the warnings.

The mailing service we were using (Mailgun) disabled our accounts due to some spammers who attacked our servers. We've had to switch to use Sendgrid as our mail service instead which is why the users would be seeing Sendgrid in their email.

I was just thinking "why aren't I getting emails?" so I came to check out this thread! Glad to know I'm not alone. It's good to hear the switch over to Sendgrid was temporary... I miss the nicely formatted emails.

for the record.
I haven't heard anything saying Sendgrid was Temporary.

what I meant above by "apparently was temporary" was my emails coming in

I suppose there is a Chance the spammers are the cause again :dontknow:
All I can say is it wasn't long before they were back to their old habits here :(
still waiting to find out if admin turned it off because they still have maintenance to do or what

I understand now Jeff. I read that out of context. Thanks for clearing it up. Hopefully if they're staying with Sendgrid they can at least edit the webmaster sender name and format the email body so the emails are easier to read. Either way, I guess we just have to wait and see. Thanks again man.

It appears the subscription e-mail feature may be fixed. I have been getting several today. The only issue I see is that they are threads which have not had new posts made in them?!? Maybe the system is just catching up on itself.
