I love hiking with my Grandsons, Thanks for this forum. Here is one of the hiking sticks we use. To keep my Grandsons interest I make little wooden tokens
and put them on straps and tie them on their sticks. On the little disk you will see in the photos I wright the date and trail head and how far we hiked on them.

That is a neat way to remember where you have been and how far. Love that idea. Getting outdoors with the youngsters has got to be a blast. :thumbsup:

Thanks everyone! If you will look at the 5th photo that big old boy that's in front
of the little one in red is 22 years old and still like to hike with Papaw.

congrats and such a neat idea to get them off the couch or away from the Xbox

Very cool, and keep it up.

I am so tired of seeing my friends kids sitting on there azzes playing video games. I love to hike with my son more than about anything.
