I understand your angle, but having a Nan in the Land Army at home might not be the same as seeing the battlefield horrors (Grandad at El Alamein etc) however if you think they didn't suffer in other ways as their Husbands, kids got killed then you need some shed work yourself. We should never single out any sex for being the 'better' person, specially at a time like this. They not only were fighting for their 'mates'/buddies but for the family plus many other reasons. Red was only pointing out the obvious, that women played a role as well, not in as great a numbers, but we had British Female SOE members who knew that if they were caught, they would be tortured & shot by firing squad. Many women were in the French Resistance, so on....

Calm down a little & keep your abuse to yourself next time.

I happen to believe the US are behind their forces 100% more than the UK, shame more of us over here don't recognise the sacrifice.
