Ring found after 20 years

Jim's dad who passed away 10 years ago, lost his wedding band 20 years ago. It was lost in the backyard of the family home and Jim said he has that mental picture in his head of his dad out there looking for it. Funny how we all carry those kind of images with us.

We were talking about MD'ing at work one day and Jim told the story and asked if I thought it could be found. We went there and I let Jim use my backup GTA 1000 and I used my new AT Pro. He started in the 20 X 20 foot area where he thought it was and I started at the other end of the yard hoping he would find it. After an hour I got closer to where he was hunting and got a "fuzzy" signal that turned out to be the ring.



What a great time of year for him to return this ring to his mother. I feel like I've given my first gift of the Christmas season by helping him do this.

When he told his sister that he found the ring she asked "Which ring did you find? He also lost a diamond ring." So I'm pretty sure Jim will be getting a metal detector soon to find the other one.

Congarts on the find.I know Jim was a happy camper ,
I Know I would be.
I'm off from work until the 3rd,& going to look for a ring that my Dad lost back about 1988-89,Dad past away in 91.
I forgot about it (yep I'm ol') ,Until my little sister reminded me of it the other day,I'm new to MDing & if I don't find anything else the ring would make me very happy.,Mark,,,,,,,
