    Updated...Navy medal returned

Found this Navy good conduct medal a while back and after talking with the landowner I found out his father was in the Navy and was issued this medal and it was something he (the son) lost 42 years ago while playing "Army"out in the side yard, thus I returned it to a very grateful son....

That is what it is all about! That medal is worth a lot more to him!! I hope I get a chance to do something like that one day.

You performed a very good deed. Medals are very important part of the Military and says a lot about those who have worked hard to earn them. And a lot of those who find and return them.
"Imagine you can only know one thing in the world," he says, "and that one thing is that you don't know anything." Quoted by my son to the National Geographic. This is how he realized he had a brain injury from an IED while serving in IRAQ.

    Mainedigger,
That is great. Most people would never be lucky enough to ever get an item like that found, and then returned. You did a good deed and it will not go unrewarded.
    Best regards,
    BRD
