Fire Chief was in a meeting when I showed up today, but his assistant took the badge and my information to pass to him. He is the only one with the keys for the display, so I wasnt able to get a picture of my find in it yet. I will check back in a week or two and snap a picture then.

Here is the little display I made for my find....

Sorry to not get more pictures, but the reflection of the glass really wasn't allowing for great pictures.

Super cool Dude! I like the display you made. It's great you chose to share it with the museum for all to see. I love going to the museum in my hometown and showing my kids the stuff my great grandfather donated.
Congrats,
MM

Took the find in today but the chief wasnt available and he is the only one with the key to open case and add find.  I will try and get a picture of it in a couple weeks.

UPDATE: Right after I posted the picture I just got a call from the Fire Chief from Hillsboro calling to thank me for the find. He just got it and took it right out and put it in the display. What a nice guy he was and I am glad that I finally found something to display for all to see......Besides my pulltab necklace LOL

WOW ~ That's cool looking! What a great idea!

I think I'm going to steal your idea and do something like that for when I give that guy the second $10 gold coin that I found on his property! NICE!!!!!
