CoinKid...I'll one up you. If I could count the coins in my wife's car, I could probably have enough for a down payment on a new Toyota. At the least, removing the coins she has stashed in all the compartments, should increase her gas mileage by at least 5 more miles to the gallon.

Until a few months ago she had five different rolls of the gold presidential coins in the center console. I moved those inside the house. Still a ton left. Why, I asked? Never know when she will be caught short of money while out she said. Coins??

Good find on the Rosie Anita. By all means count it. I'm not clear on the rules for finds. I'm just counting the ground, parking lots and floor finds. I have scored a few coins in the change machines but didn't count them. Did count a dime found on top of a gas pump. Close enough to the ground for me.

I've always been an eyeball-er. This thread just gives me an excuse to finally keep a real count of what I find. Am disappointed at my YTD count. Sort of thought I was finding more when I wasn't actually writing down what I was finding. But then again, in the past I've found more dollar bills that I'm getting now.

Nickle, one dime and one cent in my local McDonald's drive thru this morning. The girl window server just gave me the evil eye. YTD $674.

Trying something new. My wife had two BU rolls of 2012 cents left over from some event. Last Friday while out shopping, I started dropping one either behind or in front of my truck. I also dropped one just inside or outside the business front door I was entering. So far, none of the truck dropped coins have been picked up when I returned. Watched at least a half dozen people walk over one I dropped inside the 7-11 front door. It was still there when I left. The only one I saw missing was dropped just inside my Home Depot. No body could miss a coin that shiny laying in plain view. I'll keep it up until they are all gone. Doesn't take much to entertain me.

I'll post my 3 cents finds over the past few days. Parking lots. I was hoping to find more before posting a lousy 3 cents...but,even hitting a few drive-thru fast food joints..nothing.

YTD $6.78
