Kimsdad, Skinny Puppy and I were treated to two home sites on Saturday. . . courtesy of DP Bob

The first site was a local demolition that only netted me a few Wheaties from the 1940's but DP Bob's
second site. . . a 1916 homestead across from one of the local forest preserves. . . was a site to behold :o

The owners were the most gracious host's one could EVER hope for and refused to accept ANY of our finds.
The fruits of my labor included: numerous Wheats, a Sterling "Kiddiegem" child's ring, a 1943 Washington,
2 Merc's (the 1916. . . no D. . . was a heart-stopper) and a damaged "Store Defense Emergency" lapel pin.

Ahhhh.... What a day!!! :) I'm glad we were all out together.

Great finds, Mark!!! You are right about getting spoiled. The woods don't look as inviting as they once did. ;D

Congrats on the great finds!

You might have already looked it up, but here's documentation that I believe is related to your pin. It's a real nice find for your display!

You guys are making me sick to my stomach with all your finds.

I picked the wrong day to take a break! lol

What can I say? An outstanding day in anyone's book.

(If you guys need me, I'll be in the woods. You know, that place with all of the tall plants and leaves and stuff)

lol

It was a pleasure for sure.
Thanks for all the fun and laughs.
I will admitt I was getting discouraged
Boy everyone found some good stuff.
I'm glad I got you guys out of the wood for a change.

It's so fun when you hunt with good friends and everyone finds some good stuff and everyone has a good time

That's what this Hobby is about..........

Man that ring looks great.

I should have stuck to my X plan I just might have had 1 of those merc's  :-\ :-\ :-\ but instead I walked around there like a chicken being chased by a rooster. Lesson Learned

Congrats

And      Thank You ..................
