Todays hunt.... Finally Some Keepers...I hope it continues....

Iowa's trip was a bust.... I have to remember not get my hopes up so high and then have Mother Nature put it down..
Anyways, I had some work to do in the garage so after I finished I decided to go swing the coil.
Headed over to Norwood Park area to go get some clad or maybe find a keeper if I get lucky.
I was on the phone with LookN4Seated when I saw "The House" they finally boarded it up and cut the bushes out.
What grass there is was short in areas but the back yard was about 4-5 inches high of weeds.
This place has been vacant for 3 years now and when I seen it boarded up I jumped at the opportunity before it gets torn down.
I'm glad I did... spent maybe 2 hours there...

Got a bunch of wheats and I was hoping for some silver when all of a sudden " Bingo " a 1937D Merc..
Couple more wheats and " Bang " a 1963 Rosie.. All were found in the parkway area..
After finishing the parkway I went to the front of the yard.
After swing for a couple minutes I pulled out a 1929 Buffalo Nickel. 2 feet away I pulled a 1945P War Nickel
10 minutes later pulled up a Large Good Luck Coin....
Ended with a few more wheats and some Gas Rebate Money.....

I needed today"s hunt cause things have been looking gloomy lately....

I hope my luck can continue...

Boy do I have a lot of catching up to do..

Silver count is now at ..........Drum Roll......... 7.... Ok You can stop laughing... Really I mean it you can STOP....
Seriously.... I know it's funny but it's not that funny.....

No wonder you didn't call me back, you were too busy digging all those goodies. Congrats! I had a feeling you'd get something good. All I could think about for the rest of the day at Botanic Gardens was where I'd be swinging my coill there. Thanks for the call man! I wish I could've met up.

Hey Bob, I'm glad you finally scored something to post! Nice finds!!!

Are you sure that token wasn't stuck to the bottom of your coil all this time?
God bless our veterans! Thank you for your sacrifices!

Bob, don't worry, I'm at 7 too. You'll catch up soon, you're a pro at this stuff.

I stopped counting and comparing my finds to others, because I realize that it's not the "silver count" that matters, it's finding any old coin, and also being out with the guys outside and having a good time.

As for me, I think I'm done with the woods for this season. Yet, it's too early for regular beach hunts...I found that out today. So...not sure where I'm going from here.

    Keep up the good work!

If it was a chucky cheese one then maybe I would of thought that someone ( Not mentioning any names Neil ) put it there..

    Thanks.....

Yep.. I agree.. I just like finding some type of keeper for the book and silver is a keeper..
I have a goal to get at least 100 every season so that's why I like to dig the silver...
I haven't been finding to many keepers for the book this year.
It's more about personal goals but all the hunts where I haven't found a keeper I always have a blast seeing someone else
get some...aaawwww Like you pulling that beautiful 1905 Barber dime..

    I agree with you 100%

Awesome token, though it may be interpreted differently depending whether you've just watched Slumdog Millionaire or Saving Private Ryan. Congrats on that and keepers!

Great finds Bob! Your token actually has a left and right pointing bent cross on it.. here's some info for anyone who's wondering about these:

It's been awhile since I've done my research on these and forgot the history.
