It's been a while

Since I've found silver, so here are some finds from the last several hunts, both in the woods and in the turf.

Hit the woods with mark in July and found this Park Ridge Country Club badge. Mark ID'ed it as a caddy badge & the CC still in operation dates it to the 30's.

On the same day, I also dug a musket ball, my first one ever, a stooopid '08 V-Nickel, and two partial Cracker Jack toys - a crippled cow and a reallllly snub-nose .38! Then a few days later when Mark found his walker, I dug a plated fork and this old sterling pin. :)

Found a Bishop Choi St. Christopher medal several days later at a park. I guess these were pretty popular. I'll bet Tim has found one of these with all the digging he does. This one was awarded to JL. The front is a standard St. Christopher medal. Here's the back. "To JL from Bishop Choi" Too bad it's not silver or gold.

Today, I was heading out to the store and threw the detector in the trunk as an afterthought. There is a big old park between here and there and as I drove by, if the mood struck I'd stop for a few minutes. Well I stopped and after 20 minutes grabbed a '52 Rosie. After about another half hour, I found this deep '44 Merc. :)

This was the first Merc I've found at this park, having pulled three Rosies and a George before. It was a gorgeous warm & breezy day at this spot, and it turned out to be a pleasurable hunt! Sometimes the unplanned ones are the best, I guess.

So here's the grand total for the past few hunts, minus the wheats and clad:

Thanks for checking out my finds and HH!

Tallying up there Neil! Nope, no Bish Choi medals.
