10/11 - Small tribe and silver
Spent 4 hours out in the dark with the headlamp on again. Most of the good stuff was shallow. The merc was actually sticking out of the ground a little and rang up loud at 11-46. Deepest Indian was about 4 inches. I'm really not sure why the last month has given up so many nudie tokens. I believe this is nudie #4 this month.

Re: 10/11 - Small tribe and silver
Thanks guys! Yes I love night hunting. Less people around, the air cools down a little. Its more peaceful and relaxing. Makes you feel like special forces with night vision. You just need to be extra careful of who is around you as far as muggers go around here. I keep a half pint of whiskey in my bag in case I need to make friends with a local bum and I only night hunt with a buddy. Two lesches are better than one when it comes to defending yourself!
The Indians are definitely exciting to find but when looking for them, you end up digging too many crusty zincolns. I'm still pumped from this hunt and that this merc grades AU-50 or so. I love the color of it too. The picture doesn't do it justice.

How about a red laser pointer? Maybe that would scare away the riff-raff, that or get you shot?
