Seriously though, the expected value for gambling is a loss, so Gamblers are stupid irrespective of whether they forget their winnings or not...

As to the leaving the $$ behind, my operating theory it is all the really old people who wear adult diapers not because they need them, but because they are afraid if they take time to go to the loo, they may miss the big pay-out. Sitting in front of mesmerizing lights with jingles and repetitive actions for a long time, sleep deprived and self-soiled especially at an old age, besides not being very glamorous, would in my opinion also dull the brain so much that they probably aren't even aware what they are doing...

I get funny looks but I always grab lottery scratch off tickets out of the trash at the stores if I see them. The highest I ever found was a $30 winner that someone threw away and most recently a $10 winner laying in a ditch While I was walking. I don't know how they can afford to play if they can't figure out if they won or not

On a side note..I worked with a guy that his elderly mother lost everything in her bank account because of the slot machines and they had to sell her house as well because she was broke..

Once I was at Sam's Town in Las Vegas, i had really been having a run of bad luck, so I decided to leave.As I was I walking out I spotted a gold token on the floor . I kinda slid over to where it was and put foot over it and waited to see if anybody came looking for it. I reached down and picked it up to examine it. It turns out to be a $5.00 token, so I figured maybe it was my lucky day, I walk up to a $5.00 machine, and with my fingers crossed I dropped it into the coin slot, and slowly pulled the handle. The wheels turned and begin to stop. Well my luck hadn't changed I lost that bet too
