    Superbowl Sunday finds

Not being a sports fanatic, I went out for a short hunt while
the rest of the world watched the Superbowl.

I decided to dig signals I previously would not have dug, and I also dug some marginal nickel signals.
About 3 of the 12 or so nickel signals actually were nickels, the rest being beaver tails or full pull tabs.

My other strategy was to hunt in areas that I thought other detectorists would have thought
"Nothing is going to be along that area because..."

The toasted Indian head was about 6 inches deep. It remains crusty on the face side even after several
hot hydrogen peroxide soakings and cleanings with a wooden coffee stir stick. It's a 1908

I dug the nice heavy silver ring because the signal made me think it was gold. Before I saw the .925 I thought maybe it would have been white gold. Next to the .925 is the name Boma and another character which I can't make out - possibly a 6 or a O - not sure. I did find boma silver jewelry online but didn't see that same ring. But hey - now I have a Superbowl ring...!

And I got my first toy cow which I think is a crackerjack toy but I couldn't see any markings on it.

Typical assortment of clad from this heavily used and heavily pounded park.

    Nice Finds Mayo,
Glad to see a post from you. For a moment there, I thought you had found an Obama ring. It sure was a pretty day out today... Makes me think of March.

There's a lady on the roof of her buggy holding a parasol about four rows back near the left edge of the pic in this link. I think she's the one that dropped that IH while fumbling for change to get a soda at the clubhouse.

    Nice haul!
