    one step at a time

I have been searching in the same area for "treasure" where I have found Indian artifacts(also great treasure) without much luck. the best dig I have had is a champion spark plug that must have been used in a covered wagon. Just wondering if anyone has had much luck walking fields where the Indians roamed?
if it matters, I am searching south of Inst. 70 on the east side of IL.
    Thanks, Travis

research where they lived in the fields general area
then wait for a good ran and get a "flip stick"
some water bottle or 2 a small pack
and a good pair of boots
    then start walking

Re: one step at a time

thanks for the reply edde. I guess my question wasn't clear though. i have found arrowheads, celts, axeheads, beads, pottery. I was wondering if anyone has found any trade items, copper, steel and the such? I have spent many hours walking the fields and creeks picking up artifacts, just started taking a metal detector with me and didn't know if it was worth the extra effort. thanks, travis
