Hangin' in Da Bend
I took Friday (8/15) off of work and after a day at my fave beach I decided to make the most of this hot, sun-filled day!
I raced home to change into my dirt diggin' clothes and headed to my fave park. I didn't find much to *really* brag about...but...I love the kicky, kooky stuff just as much, if not more!
My little solider weighs a frickin ton!
I have no clue on the purpose of the wee tiny Coca-Cola bottle OR the Chicago thingy.
It's been a helluva long spring as I think summer is finally here!

WTG Vibes. My first thought was some kind of belt buckle but then couldn't figure how it would clasp. Whatever it is , definitely interesting. HH.

Re: Hangin' in Da Bend
The big debate in my household is this; is it the Sears tower OR the Hancock?
Odds thus far is on the Hancock.
(By the way. it'll always be the "Sears Tower" in this hood!!!)

Was wondering the same thing as well as if it is a type of clip or fastener on the back.
Vibes could you get a better photo of the back of the Chicago Doo-hickey?

Nope, no clip or fastener. The one pic is of the back side (the one showing the bottom of the thingy).
I was sharing it with my family and they at first thought a buckle but Nope, no dasteners. Then a pendant was also ruled out as it's just so, I dunno. not pendant like

Re: Hangin' in Da Bend
I just notice that the one photo is of the twirly gizmo turned 90 degrees to the main frame.
Is there a hole at the top and bottom of the outer frame?
Maybe this is an insert with an insert to another piece. I am thinking that this might belong to a bigger piece altogether, but that is just my opinion.

Got a better look at the photo's and see there is no hole at the outer frame bottom, but is there one on the top? I am thinking some sorta FOB souvenir.

Got out with Tabfinder and Greg on Saturday. Talk about hot, hot, hot. TF had a place lined up for us to try, but man it is so overgrown, but had alot of histroy. This place would be great in the fall or early spring.
There is alot of demolition going on at this place which we will now refer to as Area Dirty-2

I see where some of the coca cola minatures were key chains. Any chance there was something on the top of the bottle that maybe broke off? I seen another mini and it was a lighter. Try pulling the upper half up and off if you can see a seam around the middle.
Still a cool find

Re: Hangin' in Da Bend
yes,I've been able to get out weds. thru friday last week for about 4 hrs a day, been huntin an area along US 20 where they are putting in some new sewer pipe,Haven't found much but clad which is a surprise they've got piles of dirt everywhere plus along side of the road.they got about 8-12 inches dug out in most areas but then in other ares it's about 4ft deep, I drive by everyday to see if they've knocked down any of the big piles if they did then I wait till they are done for the day then go hunting.
